Step 1 of 9 What do you need done? Pick the closest option. You can add detail further on.
A new timber fence A boundary with nothing on it, or a fence going in as part of new work. A timber gate A new gate, or replacing a gate in an existing fence. Fence and gate together The usual job. New fence with one or more matching gates. Replacing an existing fence Old timber fence to come out, new one to go in. Removing a fence only Demolition and disposal, without a replacement fence from us. A retaining wall Treated pine sleeper retaining, on its own or before a fence. Painting an existing fence An existing timber fence you want coated. Something else Tell us about it in the notes at the end.
Step 2 of 9 Which fence style are you after?
Not sure? Choose the last option — Jye Fulton will bring the samples and go
through it on site.
Single Paling Treated pine — One layer of palings fixed side by side to the rails. The most common timber boundary fence in Sydney and the most straightforward to repair paling by paling. Lap & Cap Treated pine — Palings overlap so there is no sight line through the face, and a capping rail runs along the top to finish the fence and protect the paling ends. Lapped Only Treated pine — Palings overlap to close the sight line through the fence, and the paling tops are left as the finished top line rather than being covered by a capping rail. Hardwood Single Paling Australian hardwood — Single paling construction using Australian hardwood palings. Denser and heavier than treated pine, with a different colour and grain that weathers to grey unless it is coated. I’m not sure — I’d like advice
We will look at the boundary and talk through what suits it.

Step 3 of 9 Tell us about the fence
Estimates are fine. Pacing it out is close enough — we confirm everything with a tape at the
measure.
Preferred height Select a height 1.5m 1.8m 2.1m 2.4m Not sure yet
1.8m is the usual residential boundary height. Final height depends on the site.
How many gates? Select None 1 2 3 4 or more
Gate type Select if you need a gate Pedestrian Gates Single Gates Double Gates Driveway Gates Not sure yet
Does any of this apply? There is an existing fence to remove The ground needs retaining first Access is difficult (narrow, gated, no rear access) The ground slopes along the boundary Rock or very hard ground It is a shared boundary with a neighbour
Anything else about the site?
Step 4 of 9 Where is the property?
The suburb tells us access and travel. The full address is only used to book the measure.
Step 5 of 9 What kind of property is it? Residential Commercial Industrial Strata or body corporate Other
Step 6 of 9 How do we reach you?
We use these to send the estimate and arrange the measure. Nothing else.
Step 7 of 9 Add photos of the boundary
This is the single most useful thing you can send. A wide shot down the boundary line, plus
anything unusual — access, levels, the existing fence, a gate opening.
Step 8 of 9 Anything else we should know? Describe the project
Preferred timeframe Select a timeframe As soon as possible Within 2 to 4 weeks In 1 to 3 months Later than 3 months Just getting a price for now
Additional notes
Step 9 of 9 Check it over before you send Anything look wrong? Use the edit link beside it.
